Embroidery: The process of machine stitching a design onto a substrate. Each color in the design requires its own needle.

basic steps:
1. artwork digitizing (converting artwork to a format readable by embroidery machines)
2. color sequencing and threading all needles needed for the design
3. Stitching the design

pros-It's thread!(not ink), can be used on garment materials not suitable for other methods (fleece for example), superior durability, no set up fees
cons-designs can't have fine detail, since priced by stitchcount, generally speaking, large designs can get expensive
slow production times
